Hi! I ā€™m Caroline

Iā€™m Caroline Alsina, a sophomore boarding student at The Madeira School, from Annapolis, Maryland.

From a young age, I have been involved in the arts. I pursued choir for a number of years and left visual art on the background. High school was a fresh start and the very first class of my freshman year was fundamentals of drawing. From that moment on, it was clear that my art would no longer live in the background.

In addition to taking fundamentals of drawing, I took a painting class during my freshman year. I was convinced that acrylic paint was my medium. Or so I thought.

This school year I am currently taking Advanced Studio Art and through the summer work I did, I learned that there are many other mediums that I love working with.

I am still finding my style and exploring mediums, trying to figure out who I am as an artist.

Additionally, in April of 2020, I started making paper flowers and opened up a small Etsy shop. I have some pre-made and also take custom orders. Making the flowers and arranging them into beautiful bouquets and arrangements brings me tremendous joy and I aim to share that with others. Head to my contacts page to find out more!
